Over next 4 years, 43.7% of the companies surveyed expected to have fiber installed in horizontal cabling application. According to market research firm RHK, sales of optical-related networking equipments will almost double from USD$48 billion this year to USD$90 billion in year 2003. Even though substantial amount is still for telecommunication sector, data communication sector is increasing rapidly.
