If your PC has NIC already installed, to connect to Optic FX port of the switch, you need a media converter. However if you are buying a new PC and you intend to connect the PC to Optic FX port, then you can buy one of the OCE Optic FX Network Interface card.
The 2 type of cards produced by OCE are:

  • Fast Ethernet Network Interface card
  • Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface card
